The Department of Youth Ministry of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of New Gracanica–Midwestern America joyfully announces the 2025 Winter Youth Retreat, taking place December 26–30, 2025, at the beautiful New Gracanica Monastery in Third Lake, Illinois.
Each year, high school students (Grades 9–12) from across the Diocese gather for several days of prayer, fellowship, learning, and spiritual renewal. Hosted within the sacred setting of our diocesan monastery, the retreat offers an inspiring opportunity for young Orthodox Christians to deepen their faith, form lasting friendships, and experience the beauty of Orthodox life through worship, discussion, and service.
The program includes:
- Daily prayer and Divine Liturgy
- Discussions and workshops led by clergy and guest speakers
- Fellowship activities and group reflections
- Time for spiritual guidance and confession
- Winter fun and community building
Participants will stay on the monastery grounds, immersed in the life of the Church, surrounded by peers who share their faith and values.
