On Saturday 7 June 2025, Memorial Saturday-Zadušnice, the Nastojatelj of Pokrov-New Gračanica Monastery, Archimandrite Sergije (Puškar), served Divine Liturgy, followed by a General Parastos-Panikhida-Memorial Service, where the koljivo-memorial wheat brought by many faithful was blessed. The Rt. Rev. Serafim (Baltić), Bishop of Koštajnica & Vicar of Midwestern America, was prayerfully present and partook in Holy Communion. Graves were blessed in the Monastery Cemetery and at cemeteries throughout our God-protected Diocese. Unfortunately, many faithful in the USA ignore the four annual Memorial Saturdays which the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates. This particular Memorial Saturday falls on the eve of the Feast of Pentecost, which is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Holy Apostles and upon the entire Earth, to teach, sanctify and lead all people to eternal salvation. Therefore, the Holy Church calls upon us to make a commemoration on this Saturday:  that the saving grace of the Holy Spirit wash away the sins from the souls of all our forefathers, fathers and brethren, who have reposed throughout the ages, and that their souls be united in the Kingdom of Christ. Praying for the redemption of the living and for the return of the reposed souls from captivity, the Holy Church begs the Lord to “give rest to the souls … that have fallen asleep, in … a place of refreshment; … . for the dead shall not praise Thee, O Lord, neither shall they that are in hell make bold to offer unto Thee confession. But we that are living will bless Thee, and will pray, and offer unto Thee propitiatory prayers and sacrifices for their souls.”  Our prayers for the departed reveal in a most beautiful way our understanding of the Church as the Body of Christ both here on earth and in heaven. We are one Church, which includes those struggling here on earth, together with those who now live in fuller union with God in paradise. Just as we pray for one another here on earth, we also pray for those who have departed-fallen asleep in the Lord. 

On Sunday 8 June 2025, on Pentecost-Holy Spirit Day-Trojčindan, Archimandrite Sergije and Hieromonk Makarije (Robinett) served Divine Liturgy, followed by the three Pentecost kneeling prayers, during which those present weaved wreathes and crosses from the fresh greenery, which also decorated the Monastery Church iconostasis. The Rt. Rev. Sava (Juric), retired Bishop of Slavonia, was prayerfully present and partook of Holy Communion, as did Protosindjel Filotej, who, along with Fr. Sergije and Fr. Markarije, each read one of the kneeling prayers.  Responses were sung on both days by the Archiepiscopal Choir.  Among the pilgrims to the Monastery on this great Feast day were Dr. Srdja Trifkovic, his wife Mira and James Jatras, former diplomat, policy advisor and Senate leadership analyst.
