The 2026–2027 academic year at St. Sava Academy officially commenced yesterday with the traditional service of the Invocation of the Holy Spirit (Призив Светога Духа). Cathedral clergy, educators, students, and families gathered in prayer, beseeching the Lord to bestow wisdom, health, and spiritual illumination upon our youth as they embark on another year of Orthodox education.
This year marks a historic milestone in the life of the Academy, reflecting unprecedented institutional vitality across our Diocese:
- Record-Breaking Enrollment: A thriving student body of 230 students, representing the highest enrollment in the school’s history.
- Expanded Faculty: Dedicated new educators joining the staff to support the Academy’s rigorous bilingual and classical curriculum.
- Campus Modernization: Comprehensive summer capital improvements, including:
- A completely renovated gymnasium, cafeteria, and modern kitchen
- Reconfigured, optimized classrooms designed for collaborative learning
- Brand-new flooring installed throughout all educational spaces
Reflecting on this remarkable growth and the central role of Orthodox education, His Eminence Metropolitan Longin emphasized:
