Meeting of Clergy and Executive Board Presidents Held at New Gracanica Monastery

On Friday, March 28, 2025, a brotherly gathering was held at New Gracanica Monastery, welcoming clergy and parish board presidents from the Church-school congregations, parishes, and missionary parishes of the Diocese of New Gracanica – Midwestern America.

The meeting commenced with the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at 10:00 AM, during which clergy had the opportunity for confession. Following the liturgy, attendees shared lunch in fellowship.

At 1:00 PM, the clergy convened to discuss the state of the Diocese and its parishes, exploring ways to mutually support one another in daily ministry and address common challenges effectively. His Eminence Metropolitan Longin opened both meetings with greetings, expressed gratitude to the clergy and lay leaders, and provided words of encouragement. Bishop Serafim delivered a detailed report on the renovation progress of the konak building at St. Sava Monastery. Additionally, reports were presented regarding various institutions, including St. Sava School of Theology, St. Sava Academy in Chicago, and other parishes.

Evening services included Vespers at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner. The day concluded with a joint meeting of clergy and parish board presidents at 6:30 PM, emphasizing the shared commitment to preserving and nurturing Orthodox faith and tradition in a spirit of brotherly love and unity.
