The Great Lent is a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, calling us to serve those in need. In this spirit, the Diocesan Youth Department, in partnership with our local Serbian Orthodox parishes, has organized a meal-packing initiativeto provide food for hungry children around the world.
This event, held in collaboration with Feed My Starving Children, offers a wonderful opportunity for our youth and parish communities to serve together and make a meaningful impact.
As St. John Chrysostom reminds us:
“If you do not find Christ in the beggar at the church door, neither will you find Him in the Chalice.”
Let us take this time to put our faith into action by feeding the hungry and offering hope to those in need.
