The SABOR Conference Guide has been prepared as a spiritual and practical resource for the Serbian Orthodox Youth and Young Adult Conference SABOR, taking place September 17–19, 2027, in Chicago, Illinois, with the blessing of His Eminence Longin, Metropolitan of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of New Gracanica Midwestern America.
SABOR is an opportunity for our young people across the North American Continent to gather together in Christ, in the life of the Church, and in the fellowship of one another. It is a time to strengthen our faith, deepen our love for the Church, build lasting friendships, and encourage one another in living the Gospel in the world today.
This guide provides the vision, structure, and practical guidance necessary for preparing for and participating in the conference. It is intended to serve clergy, parishes, church board members, youth and young adults, volunteers, parents, and all those who contribute to making SABOR possible.
Above all, this guide is an expression of our shared desire to serve the Church and to help the younger generations discover and embrace the beauty and fullness of Orthodox Christian life. May our gathering be a witness to the words of Christ: “That they all may be one” (John 17:21).
With prayer, good will, and support of all of us, may SABOR become a joyful gathering of our youth and young adults—a place where faith is strengthened, friendships are formed, gifts are shared, and hearts are renewed in Christ and His Holy Church.
Welcome!
